£37.00

£55.20 (inc. VAT)

Fabricated, robust and made for impact.

Built-up letter signs are formed by folding and welding metal to create three-dimensional letters. The result is a clean, premium look with real depth and shadow. Choose non-illuminated letters for crisp daytime presence or add LEDs for night-time visibility. We manufacture in aluminium and stainless steel with optional acrylic faces, all produced to your brand artwork for perfect accuracy.

These letters work brilliantly on retail stores, restaurants, pubs, hotels, offices, museums and schools. Use them on fascias, feature walls and reception areas where first impressions matter.

Mounting & Fixing Options
  • Aluminium reduces weight on older fascias and cladding
  • Stainless steel delivers a high-end look for corporate and hospitality sites
  • Halo lighting adds a soft glow that enhances brick, stone and textured panels
  • Face-lit letters improve legibility against dark backgrounds
  • We focus on efficient LEDs and recyclable metals. To see how we minimise waste and energy use, visit our sustainability and environmental practices page

For brand consistency across retail estates and hospitality groups, we can create a repeatable kit of parts and hold production files for rapid call-offs. Contact us to set this up.

Clean with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasives on acrylic and polished metal. Check fixings and cable glands during routine cleaning. LEDs have a long service life. Drivers are replaceable. We provide scheduled maintenance and reactive support to keep your branding at its best.

Assembly Instructions

Your letters arrive with a full-size template. Mark and drill fixing points using the template, then install studs, rails or tray fixings. Position letters and secure. For illuminated sets, mount drivers in an accessible location and connect to a fused spur or dedicated circuit. Electrical work should be completed by a qualified professional. If you prefer a turnkey service, our team can handle design, manufacture and installation.

Built-Up Letter Signs FAQs

What is the difference between built-up letters and 3D letters?

Built-up letters are a specific type of 3D letter made by folding and welding metal returns. Flat-cut letters on stand-offs create depth but have no returns.

Aluminium is lightweight and versatile. Stainless steel offers a premium finish and excellent weather resistance. We will recommend the right option after a survey.

Yes. We use calibrated paint systems and proof plates for approval. Vinyl overlays are available for special colours or patterns.

Not always. Non-lit letters perform well in daylight and bright interiors. Face-lit letters improve legibility at night. Halo-lit suits premium settings that want a soft glow.

Stud fixings with stand-offs are common. Rails help keep spacing consistent on long shopfronts. Sign trays are useful when cabling needs to be concealed.

Acrylics and backing materials are specified with appropriate ratings. All electrical components meet relevant standards.

Quality LEDs run for many years. Drivers are accessible and can be replaced during service.

Yes. We repaint, replace faces, retrofit LEDs and repair fixings. Ask about an on-site audit and maintenance plan.

We do. External and illuminated signage can require advertisement consent. Our planning support covers drawings and submissions.

Standard sets complete in 2–4 weeks after approval. Complex projects and rollouts are scheduled to your programme.

Yes. We often pair built-up letters with Fret Cut Illuminated Trays, Illuminated Shopfront Signs, LED Signs and wider Logo Signs packages for a cohesive look.
